Garde is a pocket sommelier. It reads wine lists, keeps your cellar and tells you when a bottle is ready. This page says plainly what it holds, who else sees it, and how to take it all back.

What Garde collects

• Your email address, if you create an account. It is how your cellar follows you from one phone to the next. Without an account Garde uses a random id generated on your device, and holds no email at all.
• Photos you take of wine lists, menus and labels. They are sent to Anthropic to be read, and the reading comes straight back to you. Garde does not store the photographs; only the wine names and details read out of them are kept.
• Your wine records: the bottles in your cellar, vintages, notes, wishlist, the nights you confirm a bottle was opened, and the tastes you tell Garde about. This is what makes the recommendations yours.
• A push subscription, if you allow notifications. It is the anonymous address your browser gives us so Garde can tap your shoulder when a bottle enters its window. Deny notifications and none is stored.
• Light usage counts: how many sommelier calls your device has made today, so nobody runs the house out of wine.

Garde does not collect your location, your contacts, your payment details or advertising identifiers, and it runs no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who else is involved

• Anthropic reads the photographs you take and writes the recommendations. Photographs and wine details are sent there for that purpose. Anthropic does not use them to train models.
• Supabase handles accounts: your email address and password sit with them, never with Garde.
• Railway hosts Garde and its database.

Nothing is sold, rented or handed to advertisers. Garde shares data with a third party only where it is listed above, or where the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Photographs are not kept at all: they are read and discarded. Your cellar, wishlist and notes are kept for as long as your account exists, because they are the thing you came for. Push subscriptions are dropped as soon as the browser tells us they are dead. Usage counts age out on their own.

Deleting everything

Open the account sheet in Garde, sign in, and tap Delete my account. That removes your cellar, wishlist, tasting record, notes, push subscription and account row from Garde's database, and clears what the app held on your phone. It cannot be undone. Your Supabase login is yours to delete as well, and you can ask us to do it.

Children

Garde is about wine, so it is rated 17+ and is not for anyone under the legal drinking age where they live. Garde does not knowingly hold information about children.
